The work of a video editor is a combination of artistic and technical skills. Digital video editing is a growing and dynamic field that is rapidly establishing standards and opening career opportunities in a previously exclusive field. You can even work for web shows or just about any video-rich related channel these days.
Video editing is being given material and an idea of what to do, and to take those pieces of material, those video and sound elements and piece them together to create a finished story which is watchable, believable, clear and understandable. A video editor makes the best of all the elements that you're provided with.
Video editing's most powerful tool is the CUT, the power to control everything about what the viewer is seeing.
Quite frankly, it's the next best thing to performing a magic trick.
The long weekend is over and you're back from that magical getaway. You've got all this spectacular footage of you and your friends having the time of your life, yet you can't seem to get your computer to cooperate with your vision.

Editing with Adobe Premiere is a technical walkthrough course. Throughout this intensive 2-day course, students will learn the interface of Adobe Premiere and how to use non-linear editing to produce video for corporate, wedding, and event highlights of any kind. This course is for anyone who wants to do non-linear editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Exercises include editing a commercial, a scene in a narrative fiction, and placing and animating titles and graphics. A music video will be planned, shot and individually edited by the students as a final exercise.
